Bend your elbows at a 90-degree angle and allow your upper arms to hang loosely near your torso. If your chair has armrests they should be barely touching your elbows. It's better to remove your chair's armrests if they cannot be adjusted low enough to stop your elbows from elevating. Your ergonomic chair should fit under your 4 legs standing desk with its armrests attached. If the armrests don’t fit, consider removing them. Adjust the height of Autonomous Desk Levitate 4-leg standing desk until its surface reaches the bottom of your forearms. Your hands should rest comfortably over your keyboard with straight, relaxed wrists. Your wrist position should never be inclined up or down.</p>

Aesthetic and magical desk

Having extensively researched the perfect standing/sitting desk before deciding on the new SmartDesk Levitate, I can confidently say that to my knowledge there is no other desk like this on the market. As a designer with extremely particular tastes, the Levitate desk has exceeded my expectations in terms of design, quality, stability, and ease of use. At long last, the desk arrived nearly six months after preordering. Hopefully by now the shipping and/or manufacturing delays have been sorted out—nevertheless this desk was well worth the wait. The metal frame is a beautifully unique off-white color and feels comparable to high-end office furniture like Steelcase or Herman Miller. While unboxing the frame components, I was struck by the weight and solid feel of each leg column. Each one contains its own motor, and this is in my opinion the desk's most stand-out design feature. Departing from the two-legged of most other powered desks, the Levitate has four separate legs—like a traditional desk! You would never know it's powered until with a wave of the hand, the legs start to extend like magic. Beyond the traditional and minimal aesthetic, I appreciate the stability that the four legs provide. Unlike powered desks I've used in the past, this one has no wobble at all at seated heights. It feels absolutely rock solid. At standing height there's naturally a slight wobble, but it's nearly imperceptible. It's by far the most stable standing desk I've ever used. The choice of solid ash wood for the surface is very nice. The finish is smooth and unvarnished—not quite up to the quality of a premium “executive” desk, but very good for the price point. I've found some very minor imperfections in the finish, but overall it looks beautiful and unique. I certainly value the look, feel, and smell of real solid wood, and bright ash is the perfect choice for balancing quality and affordability. Beyond the design, the technology in this desk is the other factor that sets it apart from anything else out there. The touch-free sensor really works. It took a minute to get a feel for where to position my hand, but now it's quite easy to use. I appreciate that it also has a single button with intuitively-programmable memory settings. The button is thoughtfully placed on the underside of the frame in front—accessible yet hidden to preserve the clean aesthetic of the desk. Again, you'd never know it's a powered desk by looking at it! The power track system is a game-changer for cable management. Mine didn't work when I initially plugged it in, but once I discovered that it had a loose interior wire, I was able to reconnect it myself and now it works perfectly. I absolutely love how easy it is to hide cables away. From a hidden cable tray under the desktop, everything plugs into a single extension cord that neatly runs down through a channel magnetically attached to the desk leg. Brilliant! The instruction manual is unnecessarily confusing, but simply apply common sense to how the frame pieces fit together and you'll find that the assembly is rather straightforward. However, it probably will take longer than the estimated 30-minute assembly time. Overall, this is an incredible desk! It is truly one of a kind and I highly recommend it.

Truly a One-of-a-Kind Desk

Must-Have

I ordered this desk during the pre-order in November and constant delays were pretty frustrating. There were multiple times that the product was delayed without notice and I came very close to cancelling the order altogether due to how long it took to actually receive the item. But beyond the waiting game, the desk is incredible. Note that the directions provided may be outdated as mine were so you'll need to use the updated assembly instructions on the website. It's pretty easy to put together. There were some final changes to the product that don't match some of the photos. For instance the cord that attaches to the desk is not white or color matched to the desk, it's a hideous a white and green color which defeats the purpose of it being discreet. I'll have to buy a white one which is annoying considering the price point of the desk itself and the time they had to resource the necessary parts. You can tell some parts of the desk were hastily done. The silver rings spin and aren't flush like they should be. There's a part of the sensor that I'll have to buff out as some of the wood isn't as smooth as it should be. Also note that track system is not a grey color like in some photos but a shiny black. Easy to use and works well. But I promise that the desk is well worth the wait. It sleeks, modern, minimalist, and refined. While I had higher expectations consider the price point and the time it took to receive the desk, I'm overall happy with the purchase. Definitely not your average stand up desk!

Beautifully designed desk

After months of searching for the perfect desk, I finally settled on the Levitate Desk, and it's everything I could have hoped for and more! The first thing that struck me was its sleek, minimalist design. The light wood finish and clean white legs immediately brightened up my home office, making it look more spacious and inviting. The desk's surface is generous, easily accommodating my dual monitor setup, a few personal items, and still leaving room to spread out documents when I need to. It's sturdy yet elegant, with smooth edges that make long hours at the desk more comfortable. The absence of visible wires is a huge plus for me as it keeps everything looking tidy. What really sets this desk apart are its smart features. With just a gesture, I can adjust the height, seamlessly transitioning from sitting to standing without interrupting my workflow. This feature has been a game-changer for my back and overall posture. Not only is the Levitate Desk a functional piece where I can efficiently tackle my workload, but it's also a central piece in my creative process. The aesthetics inspire me, and the functionality supports me whether I'm in a deep focus session or brainstorming new ideas. I highly recommend the Levitate Desk to anyone looking to upgrade their workspace. It's not just a desk; it's a lifestyle upgrade that combines style, comfort, and cutting-edge technology to create the ideal work environment. A solid investment for anyone who spends significant time at their desk!
